The panel has asked the NTA if it investigated the NEET-UG 2024 irregularities and sought a report on action taken on Radhakrishnan Committee’s 101 recommendations. It has posed questions to the CBSE on the ‘weakening’ of RFP provisos for OSM contract.
According to a public notice issued by the agency, the re-examination will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode from 2 pm to 5:15 p.m. across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad
In a statement on X, the agency said messages claiming a "leak", advance access or "sale" of the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination paper were aimed at misleading students and parents
On May 12, the National Testing Agency (NTA) cancelled the NEET-UG held on May 3 for medical admissions amid allegations of paper leak.
The NTA said the decision to cancel the examination was taken in the interest of students and in recognition of the trust underpinning the national examination system. It added that the agency was extending full cooperation to the CBI in the ongoing investigation
The matter pertains to an assurance given in Rajya Sabha in reply to an unstarred question (USQ) dated November 27, 2024, regarding "Conduct of Examination by NTA", the notice said
Admit cards for candidates appearing for the test on May 31 have been released
The case has been listed later this week on an urgency basis
The National Testing Agency said the decision was taken in view of the Department of Personnel and Training's office memorandum regarding the revised date of the Bakrid holiday
In a public notice, the agency said candidates can log in to the NEET-UG 2026 registration portal using their credentials and access the refund link to submit preferred bank account details for processing of fee refunds.

“Direct the reconduct of NEET-UG 2026 under the strict scrutiny of a judicially appointed high-powered committee until an interim oversight committee constituted by the apex court has verified and certified the security of the revised examination process,” the petition sought.
It said the conduct of the examination, preparation of question paper and the alleged leak should be investigated thoroughly
