Rescue workers have pulled stranded farmers from flood waters in eastern Syria after the Euphrates burst its banks.
Nearly a year after the Marathwada floods in Maharashtra, many farmers affected by the destruction that followed say they are still waiting for parts of the compensation the government promised.
