Três pessoas morreram na operação policial realizada nesta segunda-feira (28) nas comunidades do Timbau e Baixa do Sapateiro, no Conjunto de Favelas da Maré, na zona norte do Rio de Janeiro. O balanço foi divulgado no início da tarde pela Secretaria de Estado de Polícia Militar do Rio de Janeiro. De acordo com o órgão, os três mortos eram considerados suspeitos. Os atos seriam uma "retaliação" à apreensão das armas e prisões na operação e teriam o objetivo de desviar a atenção da polícia. “Em uma rápida mobilização, policiais militares atuaram nos locais e liberaram as vias, empregando equipes do 15º BPM (Duque de Caxias) e do Batalhão de Policiamento em Vias Expressas (BPVE). O policiamento permanece reforçado na região”, informou em nota.
