O Conselho Superior do Ministério Público Federal (CSMPF) vai ser reunir nesta sexta-feira (25) para decidir se o procurador-geral da República, Paulo Gonet, será investigado pelas citações ao nome dele nas conversas encontradas pela Polícia Federal (PF) no celular do ex-banqueiro Daniel Vorcaro. A análise do caso está prevista para começar às 10h e será transmitida pelo canal do MPF no Youtube. As mensagens vieram à tona após o ministro André Mendonça, do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), retirar o sigilo da parte da investigação que também cita mensagens do ex-banqueiro a um celular atribuído ao ministro Alexandre de Moraes. De acordo com a PF, Vorcaro intensificou o envio de mensagens para o número atribuído a Moraes nos dias anteriores à prisão, que ocorreu em 17 de novembro do ano passado. No dia 15 de novembro de 2025, Vorcaro demonstrou preocupação com o avanço das investigações da PF, que ainda estavam em tramitação na primeira instância da Justiça Federal em Brasília, e citou os nomes do procurador-geral da República, Paulo Gonet, e do diretor-geral da corporação, Andrei Rodrigues. Na mensagem, o ex-banqueiro escreveu: "Não conseguimos reverter isso com Paulo ou Andrei? Muita sacanagem isso. Isso em Brasília?", afirmou. Apesar da citação, não há indícios de que Gonet e Andrei tenham interferido nas investigações. No entendimento do procurador, o aprofundamento da apuração só poderia ocorrer após autorização do plenário da Corte. A anulação estava prevista para ser analisada na última quarta-feira (23), mas a sessão foi desmarcada. Defesa Após o surgimento das conversas, Gonet negou proximidade com Vorcaro e disse que sua interação com ele ocorreu de forma "brevíssima e banal".
